The Detroit International Jazz Festival (DJF) is a celebration of the jazz music genre held annually in Detroit, Michigan, on Labor Day weekend. Billed as the world’s largest free jazz festival, the DJF takes place over a period of four days, beginning on Friday evening and concluding on the Monday holiday. It presents more than 100 musical acts on six stages. Each year the performance lineup includes local and national jazz acts and covers the spectrum of the jazz genre, including funk, fusion, salsa, Afro-rhythms, R&B, and gospel. Discuss
